Solwake Privacy Policy

Solwake is a sunrise alarm. It is built to work on your device without an account, and it collects as little as it can.

What stays on your device

• Your location (or the city you typed), your sleep rules, alarm times, the nights you skipped, and your sleep history are stored only on your phone. Deleting the app deletes them.
• Location is used to compute sunrise and sunset. It is never sent to us.
• The accelerometer is read only while the wind-down screen is open, to dim the screen when the phone is placed face down. Readings are not stored.

What leaves your device

• Weather. To show the cloud cover at sunrise, the app asks Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com) for a forecast using rounded coordinates near your location. No identifier is attached to that request.
• Crash reports. If the app crashes, a report (device model, OS version, app version, the error) is sent to Sentry so we can fix it.
• Usage analytics. Anonymous product events such as "onboarding completed" or "paywall viewed" are sent to PostHog (EU servers). They carry a random installation id, never your name, email, or precise location.
• Purchases. Pro subscriptions are processed by the App Store or Google Play and validated by RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives the store receipt and a random app user id. We never see your payment details.

What we do not do

• No account, no email, no password.
• No advertising, no data sale, no cross-app tracking.
• No contacts, photos, or microphone access.

Your choices

• Location permission can be withdrawn in system settings; type a city instead.
• Subscriptions are managed and cancelled in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
• Delete the app to remove all local data.
